Your game stays your game

Privacy Policy

Effective July 24, 2026

Dots & Boxes Together is designed for local play. Scrivix does not collect, store, sell, or use your personal information through the app.

Data collection

Scrivix does not collect data from Dots & Boxes Together. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking.

Nearby Play

When you use Nearby Play, player names, color selections, and game information are exchanged directly between the participating nearby devices so the game can work. Scrivix does not receive this information, and it is not transmitted to or stored on a Scrivix server.

Other people in the nearby game can see the player name and color you choose for that game.

Device permissions

Nearby Play may request Local Network and Bluetooth-related access so nearby Apple devices can discover and communicate with one another. These capabilities are used only to provide local multiplayer gameplay.

Storage and deletion

The app may retain your chosen player name, color, or game preferences locally on your device for convenience. You can change this information in the player lobby. Removing the app from your device removes its locally stored information.

Information exchanged during a nearby game is used for that local game session and is not retained by Scrivix. Because Scrivix does not collect or hold this information, there is no developer-held account or personal-data record to request for deletion.

Children’s privacy

Dots & Boxes Together does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the app’s features or privacy practices change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
